ANOTHER NEW AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT!
As if inclusion in the AA's prestigious Best B&B bible wasn't enough, the Lastra team have now scooped two new awards for 2011 in the shape of "Best Bistro Brasserie" and "Best Small Hotel".

 
These awards are won in the face of stiff competition, and after examination by 'secret diners' and snap inspections. To win just one award would have been reward enough for the team's hard work. To win TWO is the stuff that people like us dream of.

	Anglesey and the Royal Couple
Anglesey holds a special place in the hearts of Prince William and Kate Middleton The royal couple have made their home here since 2010, and are said to have fallen in love with the area. So it was on this small island, off the northwest coast , that they chose to make their first official engagement as a couple. A palace spokesman confirmed that this is the first time Kate has been invited as a guest of honour in her own right.		Their presence in the seaside town generated such interest that several hundred people, some of whom had even arrived at dawn, turned out to welcome the couple on Thursday afternoon for a RNLI lifeboat naming ceremony Prince William is serving with 22 squadron search and Rescue force at RAF Valley Westminster Abbey will play host to what is sure to be spectacular ceremony on Friday the 29th of April.

This accolade is a welcome vindication of our team's hard work and dedication, and the team's tails are all up at Lastra Farm this month.

LASTRA FACELIFT

As you read this, we're having our new high speed hardwired internet access cabling installed, along with a thorough electrical rewire throughout the main building. This will mean full speed internet access in all our main bedrooms without the security problems associated with public wireless connections. We're working on a high tech WiFi solution for The Lodge using a line-of-sight wireless repeater. We'll keep you posted.

The floors are up, the curtains are down, the paint's being sanded down ready for a fresh application and the restaurant is getting a well-deserved facelift ready for our summer guests.

Upstairs has seen the floors taken up for the new wiring and network cabling, while downstairs, even the bar hasn't escaped the ravages of our workmen as they install the latest in wireless Internet Access hardware for our guests to use.
